திருக்குறள்:

நிறைமொழி மாந்தர் பெருமை நிலத்து

மறைமொழி காட்டி விடும்.

பொருள்:

பயன் நிறைந்த சொற்களைப் பேசும் ஆற்றல்மிக்க பெரியோரின் பெருமையை, அவர்கள் உலகிற்கு வழங்கிய மறைமொழிகளே (மந்திரங்களே/நூல்களே) தெளிவுபடுத்திவிடும்.
