திருக்குறள்:

இருள்சேர் இருவினையும் சேரா இறைவன்

பொருள்சேர் புகழ்புரிந்தார் மாட்டு.

பொருள்:

இறைவனின் மெய்ம்மை சேர்ந்த புகழை விரும்பிப் போற்றுபவரிடம், அறியாமையால் விளையும் நல்வினை, தீவினை என்னும் இருவகை வினைகளும் போய் அணுகாது.

விரிவாக்கம்:

மனிதர்களின் வாழ்வில் இறைவனின் மெய்யான அருட்பெருமைகளை உணர்ந்து, அவனைச் சரணடையும் சான்றோர்களுக்கு, அறியாமையினால் உண்டாகும் இன்பத் துன்பங்கள் எனப்படும் இருவினைப் பயன்களும் பற்றுவதில்லை. இறைவனின் நன்னெறியைப் பின்பற்றி வாழ்வோரை அவனது பேரருள் எப்போதும் பாதுகாத்து நல்வழிப்படுத்தும் என்பதை இக்குறள் எடுத்துரைக்கின்றது. தினமும் ஒரு குறளும் பொருளும் விரிவாக்கமும். பாலாஜி பாலசுப்பிரமணியம்.

Irulser Iruvinaiyum Seraa Iraivan

Porulser Pugazhpurindhaar Maattu.

Meaning:

The two fold deeds born of mental darkness (good and evil) shall never attach to those who delight in the true praise of God.

Explanation:

When a person truly understands divine wisdom and aligns themselves with truth, they transcend illusion and ignorance. Consequently, the bindings of both good and bad karma cease to affect them, granting them inner peace and liberation.
