பிறவிப் பெருங்கடல் நீந்துவர் நீந்தார்

இறைவன் அடிசேரா தார்.

பொருள்:

இறைவனின் திருவடிகளைப் பொருந்தி நினைக்கின்றவர் பிறவியாகிய பெருங்கடலைக் கடப்பர்; அதனைச் சேராதவர் கடக்க முடியாமல் துன்புறுவர்.

விரிவாக்கம்:

மனிதர்கள் தங்கள் வாழ்வில் இறைவனின் திருவடிகளை மனதாரச் சரணடைந்து நல்வழியில் வாழும்போது, இப்பிறவியில் எதிர்கொள்ளும் துன்பங்கள் மற்றும் பிறவிப் பெருங்கடலை எளிதாகக் கடந்து நல்நிலை அடைவர். மாறாக, இறை சிந்தனையும் நன்னெறியும் இல்லாமல் வாழ்பவர்கள் தங்கள் வாழ்வின் உயரிய நோக்கத்தை அடைய முடியாமல், பிறவித் துயரங்களிலேயே உழன்று தவிப்பர் என்பதை இக்குறள் எடுத்துரைக்கின்றது. தினமும் ஒரு குறளும் பொருளும் விரிவாக்கமும். பாலாஜி பாலசுப்பிரமணியம்.

They alone can cross the vast ocean of births who cling to the feet of the Lord; others cannot cross it and remain trapped.

On the other hand, those who lack spiritual grounding remain lost in the turmoil of worldly suffering, failing to attain true liberation.
