English Translation:

Thirukkural:

Kaangkaman Konkanaik Kannaarak Kandapin

Neengumen Mentrol Pasappu.

Meaning:

Oh, that I might gaze upon my lord until my eyes are filled! The moment I behold him, the pallor on my tender shoulders shall vanish.

Explanation:

The anguish of separation has taken a physical toll on the maiden, causing a melancholic pallor to spread across her soft shoulders. She realizes that no medicine can restore her lost luster except the comforting sight of her lover. She expresses with deep conviction that the very moment her eyes feast upon his presence, the paleness of her grief will instantly dissipate, restoring her warmth and vitality.
