128/1276:திருக்குறள்:

பெரிதாற்றிப் பெட்பக் கலத்தல் அரிதாற்றி

அன்பின்மை சூழ்வது உடைத்து.

பொருள்:

தலைவன் முன்பைக் காட்டிலும் பேரன்பு காட்டி, நாம் விரும்பும் வகையில் அளவின்றித் தழுவி மகிழ்வது, பின்னர் நம்மைப் பிரிந்து செல்லும் ஆற்றொணாத் துயரத்தையும் அவனது அன்பற்ற தன்மையையும் முன்னதாகவே உணர்த்தும் குறிப்பைக் கொண்டுள்ளது.

விரிவாக்கம்:

வழக்கத்தை விடவும் மிக அதிக அளவிலான அன்பைப் பொழிந்து, தலைவி மகிழும் வண்ணம் தலைவன் தழுவி இணையத் துடிப்பது தலைவிக்கு ஓர் ஐயத்தை ஏற்படுத்துகிறது. ஏனெனில், நெடுந்தூரம் பிரியப் போகிறவன் தான், அப்பிரிவின் ஏக்கத்தைத் தணிப்பதற்காகவும் தன் பிரிவை ஈடுசெய்வதற்காகவும் அந்நேரத்தில் அளவில்லாத அன்பை அள்ளிக் கொடுப்பான். "இவ்வாறு அவன் அளவுக்கு அதிகமாகத் தழுவி மகிழ்வது, விரைவில் நம்மை விட்டுப் பிரிந்து சென்று அன்பில்லாமல் இருக்கப் போகிறான் என்பதன் அறிகுறியே" என்று தலைவி தன் தோழியிடம் தன் ஐயத்தையும் வருத்தத்தையும் நயம்பட வெளிப்படுத்துவதாக இக்குறள் அமைகின்றது.

Explanation:
