132/1311:திருக்குறள்:

பெண்ணியலார் எல்லாரும் கண்ணின் பொதுஉண்பர்

நண்ணேன் பரத்தநின் மார்பு.

பொருள்:

"பெண் தன்மையுடைய பெண்கள் அனைவரும் தம் கண்களால் உன்னைப் பொதுப் பொருளாகப் பார்த்து அனுபவிக்கின்றார்கள்; பரத்தமை குணம் கொண்ட உனது மார்பை நான் தழுவ மாட்டேன்" என்று கூறித் தலைவி ஊடல் கொள்கிறாள்.

விரிவாக்கம்:

தலைவனின் அழகையும் தோற்றத்தையும் பார்த்த மாத்திரத்திலேயே மற்ற பெண்கள் அனைவரும் தங்கள் கண்களாலேயே அவனைப் பருகி ரசிக்கிறார்கள். இவ்வாறு பல பெண்களின் பார்வைகளுக்கும் விருப்பங்களுக்கும் ஆளாகி, எல்லோருக்கும் பொதுவான பொருளாகிவிட்ட அவனது மார்பை, தன் அதீதமான காதலால் எழுந்த பொறாமையினாலும் உரிமை உணர்வாலும் தீண்ட மாட்டேன் என்று தலைவி செல்லமாக மறுத்துச் சினப்பதாக இக்குறள் நயம்பட எடுத்துரைக்கின்றது.

Explanation:

Driven by deep love and possessive pride, the beloved feigns intense jealousy toward her partner. Seeing how other women admire his striking presence with their eyes, she playfully accuses him of belonging to everyone, declaring that she will withhold her embrace from a chest that has been so openly admired by the public gaze.
